The heritage and culture of The Romani and Traveler communities as players and performers is one that remains obscure and largely forgotten, but is bound up with feasts, festivals and entertainments.

We were commissioned to produce a mobile exhibition and an accompanying book focusing on the Gypsy and Traveler communities in Wales - their recorded stories and photographs taken by the travelers themselves and by professional photographer Felix Page.
For the walk-in exhibition we devised a series of large banners with striking images set out in a horse-shoe shape and we built a pod on wheels, allowing the viewer to listen to the storytelling, sound files.
A bold, confident luminous colour was used in conjunction with powerful black and white images as testament to the vibrancy and continuing vitality of the communities that make up the complex ethnic and cultural mosaic of modern Wales.
"We enjoyed detailed and inspiring dialogue throughout the collaborative process. With their strong knowledge of both visual aesthetics and technical innovation, we look forward to working with them again to deliver something new and exciting for our upcoming projects."
